Positive: The staff were just delightful. The pizza lived up to its reputation but wasn’t available on our first night.

Negative: Not so much didn’t like, I just think it would be helpful for guests to know that it is about a 30 minute drive from Maun (not far, just half of the distance is not on a tarmac road) so you can’t just pop out for a meal etc. and need a taxi to go anywhere. Also, I think people need to know that the water is heated by a wood fire and so hot water is not available “on tap”. There are fridges in the rooms (lovely) but they are not plugged in and can’t be as there is no adapter, ditto bedside lights etc.

Summary: Lovely staff and real concern for your well being.

Positive: Over nice design and good effort, but the final & personal touch is missing

Negative: It is impossible to find ... especially at night, The water pressure is so low that one cannot use the nice shower. We asked for brakefast at 6:30/7:00 but there was nobody and eventually we could leave after a disappointing brakefast at 8:00.

Summary: Well designed, but without water pressure the nicenessed shower does not work

Positive: Staff are lovely, clean and well maintained facilities, calm place, nice food, tent with bed was nice and comfortable, would have been comfortable with my own tent as well even though it's an open space for tents and rooftop tents

Negative: A little hard to find with not enough signs showing the way. Could hear music being played in the far distance, does not disturb at all, only takes the edge off the vibe a little, this may have been an event or public holiday thing

Positive: The staff were very friendly and attentive. The rooms are beautiful, offering a stunning view of the waterhole. We also enjoyed the breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. We truly appreciated our stay at the Rustic Gate Lodge and are looking forward to returning next year. Highly recommended!

Positive: Loved everything about this place, super friendly and helpful staff, clean, comfortable, low key (stayed in the tent), great food, beautiful areas to hang out in the shade, great selection of activities available (highly recommend basketweaving at local women’s co-op), great also to be supporting local First Nations owned business

Positive: The place was ok, its exactly what you would expect in a campsite.

Negative: The water pressure was not consistent. At some point we could not bath because there was no water coming from the shower but if you wake up early enough you re okay.
